16-17th Exploring the Hollow Form With Mark Lammi $150
In this class students will learn the fundamental aspects of constructing a variety of hollow forms with the primary focus being on goblets! A strong emphasis will be placed on making nice, consistent cups and feet as well as addressing the importance of each step of the goblet making process. Other topics will include shaping, thin and consistent wall thickness, solid connections, encalmo seals, lip wraps and the relationship between form and function and how it pertains to good design. Students should already be comfortable working with tubing and come prepared to dive deep into the heart of personal exploration. Also a blow hose and swivel assembly is recommended for this class but not required.
